In most cases, a chipped tooth is easy to repair. But the type of restoration we choose really depends on how badly the tooth is chipped or broken.

If the chip is very small, the solution may be as simple as gently reshaping the tooth to smooth its profile, eliminating the chip. This does not require anesthesia and can be done quickly at our Murietta dental office.

For a chip that is slightly larger, we can use a composite material to build up and restore the part of your tooth that is chipped. A tooth-colored composite filling is very strong, and can be colored to match your existing enamel exactly. The restoration looks completely natural and will not be noticeable.

If you’ve chipped off (or broken) a large chunk of your tooth, we may need to create a dental crown to build up and strengthen the tooth. We use only ceramic for our dental crowns because it is very durable, looks natural, and will protect your tooth from further damage.

Using one of the above methods, we can repair any chip or break at our Murrieta dental office. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at 951-677-4188, and we will be happy to make an appointment so we can assess the extent of damage and make the appropriate repair.

Dental emergencies often result in pain and a lot of worry. If you have an emergency and are not sure if you require immediate treatment, please call our office at 951-677-4188.  If it is after hours, our voice message will give instructions for reaching Dr. Prais.

Dental emergencies come in all shapes and sizes. One thing we know for sure – they almost always happen in the middle of the night or on weekends! If you’ve ever experienced a dental emergency, you know that there’s nothing worse than “toughing it out” until the next time your dentist has regular hours.

At Jeff M. Prais, DDS, we understand that, at the very least, dental emergencies can inhibit your ability to enjoy life. For instance, a dental crown that has broken or come off completely may not always be painful, but it can make simple things like chewing and interacting with others a challenge.

At the other end of the spectrum is a dental emergency, like an abscessed tooth, that causes severe and often debilitating pain. You simply cannot (and should not!) postpone treatment as this kind of pain signals a serious problem.

We want you to feel confident that we are always reachable by phone if you have a dental emergency. Dr. Prais will talk to you about the nature of your emergency and recommend the best course of action to get the immediate relief you need.

We accept cash, checks, debit cards, and all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We also work with Care Credit, a healthcare credit card that gives you the option of making monthly payments for needed treatment.

We accept all indemnity and most PPO plans. New plans are added frequently so please check with us if your plan is not listed here:

It’s difficult to say, as every patient is unique when it comes to their comfort level during dental treatments. Some patients breeze through every procedure without any problem at all. Others have such a fear of dentists that they can’t bring themselves to make an appointment.

Your comfort is our number one priority.  While we can’t guarantee that your visit will be more fun than, say, a trip to the local spa, we can guarantee that we will do everything possible to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

We’ve helped many patients who become stressed and anxious about any type of procedure. Our team has extensive experience, and Dr. Prais and our hygienists are known for their gentle touch and for helping patients overcome dental anxiety.

You need to know that if you suffer from dental anxiety, you are not alone. Millions of people just like you put off going to the dentist because they cannot bear the thought of spending time in the dental chair.

At Jeff M. Prais, DDS, we are very sensitive to your concerns, and we take the time to listen and help you understand more about the procedure and why it’s necessary. In many cases, feeling informed about what’s happening can help a patient relax.

Denture and Partial Repairs

Breaking a denture can certainly be a frustrating experience! Not only do you have the worry of how you’re going to have it repaired, but you face the prospect of being without your denture while the repair is being done. We are here to help because we know how important it is for you to have your damaged denture repaired as quickly as possible

Fortunately, you can count on our Murrieta dental office for same-day repairs of dentures and partials. You don’t have to take a lot of time out of your busy day because you simply leave the broken denture with us in the morning and return in the afternoon to pick up your newly repaired appliance.

You can be confident that the repair will be handled by an expert who has experience in repairing broken dentures. We work with a local dental lab where trained technicians carefully restore your broken denture so it’s good as new. We’ve successfully repaired lots of dentures for our patients; in fact, we’re happy to help even if you’re not a regular patient.

Please call our office as soon as possible, and we can make arrangements for same-day repair. Please note, however, that some damage may be serious enough that the denture may need to be replaced.
